With over 20 years of international experience, Emilienne Sanon is a seasoned professional specializing in program and project management with a focus on peacebuilding, conflict transformation, governance, and gender inclusion. She has led and supported major initiatives with organizations such as UNDP, Oxfam, Plan International, ADD International, and Cord – The Christian Outreach, contributing to enhanced social cohesion, inclusive governance, and community resilience across West and Central Africa.
Emilienne’s expertise spans conflict analysis, strategic planning, program management, qualitative research, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL), proposal development, and policy advocacy. She has successfully designed and managed inclusive local governance and social cohesion programs, strengthened community-level conflict management mechanisms, and promoted civic participation in fragile contexts.
Emilienne has worked extensively on projects funded by leading international donors, including the UN Peacebuilding Fund, European Commission (EC), DFID, UNDP, UNHCR, UNICEF, and Comic Relief. Her contributions span project design and implementation, technical assistance, evaluations, and capacity building in thematic areas such as governance, peacebuilding, social cohesion, disability rights, and inclusive development.
She has led and participated in both regional and national initiatives across Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Chad, and the Central African Republic, supporting evidence-based approaches and adaptive programming in post-conflict and fragile settings.
