Political Economy Analyses – SNaP project in Somalia

Gender, Somalia

Evidence Frontiers collaborated with Save the Children to conduct a Political Economy Analysis (PEA) for the Social Norms and Practices (SNaP) Project in Somalia. The assignment aimed to unpack the political, social, and institutional factors influencing gender norms and child protection outcomes within the project’s implementation context. Our team engaged stakeholders at national and community levels through participatory interviews and focus group discussions, complemented by a comprehensive desk review.

The analysis provided nuanced insights into power relations, policy dynamics, and incentives shaping social change, enabling Save the Children to adapt its strategies for greater relevance, ownership, and sustainability.
