Baseline Study for the Mara Community Livelihood Improvement Project

Livelihood, Kenya

Evidence Frontiers collaborated with Action Africa Help (AAH) to conduct a comprehensive Baseline Study for the Mara Community Livelihood Improvement Project in Kenya. The primary objective of the study was to establish benchmark data that would inform project planning, implementation, and future impact measurement. Our dedicated team utilized a mixed-methods approach, integrating household surveys, focus group discussions, and stakeholder interviews to assess the socio-economic conditions, livelihood activities, and resource utilization patterns of the targeted communities within the Mara ecosystem.

The baseline study provided essential insights into various aspects such as income sources, agricultural practices, gender roles, and environmental sustainability. These findings played a pivotal role in guiding AAH to refine its intervention strategies, set measurable targets, and design adaptive livelihood support models that are responsive to the unique needs of the community. The study not only serves as a foundation for ongoing monitoring and evaluation but also enhances the overall effectiveness of the project, ensuring that the interventions are impactful and sustainable in the long run.
