End-term evaluation for improved maternal and child health project in kenya

Health, Kenya

Evidence Frontiers partnered with Christian Aid to conduct the End-Term Evaluation of the Strengthening Rural Health Systems for Improved Maternal and Child Health project in Kenya. This comprehensive evaluation assessed the project’s overall effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, sustainability, and impact in enhancing access to quality maternal and child health services in rural and underserved areas. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, our dedicated team collected and analyzed both quantitative and qualitative data from health facilities, community structures, and key stakeholders to measure progress against established baseline indicators.

The evaluation revealed significant improvements in service delivery, enhanced capacity among community health workers, and positive maternal and neonatal health outcomes. Furthermore, it identified key lessons that can inform future programming and interventions. This project not only demonstrated the value of thorough evaluation processes but also emphasized the need for ongoing support and resources to continue improving health outcomes in these critical areas.
